This spring I discovered the dahlias. They have been blooming around me for decades I suppose. But I never took notice of them until now. And once I began drawing them, I fell a little in love with them. Along with the dahlias, small goldfinch began inhabiting the trees in my neighborhood. Every morning I watch them on my walks. But I wonder – were they always there and I just never looked closely enough? All these little things of beauty all around us when we slow down to take it all in.
