In European folklore, ladybugs were believed to be sent by the Virgin Mary to save the crops -earning them the name “Ladybug.” I’m always fascinated by how things come to be named and the roles they play in our universe. It never ceases to amaze me how perfectly beautiful the design of nature can be—tiny wings, delicate spots, and a purpose that keeps our gardens flourishing.
